My love of big planes, jet and piston powered giants started many years ago, initially when I was 7 yrs old. I was given a book while in hospital for an appendectomy, The Big Book of Jet Planes. This was 1951, and I can still remember the content of every page. Finally I got to stand with the biggest ever built, the B36!
