The Old Bell, Malmesbury

History has bestowed an exceptional legacy upon Malmesbury and at the heart of this once important town you will find England’s Oldest purpose built hotel.

It was in 1220 that a ‘guest house’ was first created on this site, to provide accommodation and hospitality for visitors with business at the influential Abbey adjacent. Although extended and embellished through the years, the building has continued to fulfil this role, uninterrupted down through the centuries, abiding into the present day as it is now known – The Old Bell

This Cotswold Hotel lies just off the M4 and only 81 miles from the M25, close to Bristol and Bath, on the Southern edge of the Cotswolds.
