CAREFULLY peel back the rubber from the TOP of the viewfinder,and wriggle it out of it's retaining notches, it will come ok but do not force it.

Once the rubber is free at the top, move the rubber/cover assembly from side to side and move backwards until it is free of the viewfinder.
